There are a lot of layers here, but this is what this black-and-white reproduced poster offers:
Celebration re-print for the Armadillo World Headquarters Birthday, celebrating an event by AUSPOP on 8/7/24. This day (not the year), was a tribute to the first day of concerts played at the AWHQ in 1970, which included Shiva’s Headband, Hub City Movers and Whistler.
This famous art piece is a reproduction of a small cartoon which was hand-drawn by Jim Franklin (JFKLN) on the backside of Shiva’s Headband’s album, Take Me To The Mountains. Jim Franklin also did the front cover artwork of that music album, which DID come out in July of 1970, which was the first year of the AWHQ.
A SIGNED and NUMBERED item (only 100 reproduced), signed by Jim Franklin himself!
Item is printed in matte digital on heavy poster cardstock, in black and white.
